During my time at Albany State as a biology major, I had a positive experience overall. The professors were knowledgeable and provided a solid foundation in the subject, which helped me grow academically. Campus life was vibrant and engaging, with activities and opportunities to get involved, making it easy to connect with others and feel a sense of community.
However, there's always room for improvement. I would have liked to see more hands-on learning experiences and research opportunities within the biology department. Expanding these aspects could further enrich the academic experience and better prepare students for future careers.
Overall, Albany State offered a supportive environment that balanced academic rigor with a lively campus life, and I'm grateful for the time I spent there.

Rating 5 out of 5
I appreciate Albany State University for its strong student engagement, where students inspire and welcome newcomers into the "ramily" traditions. Additionally, their advisement offices are very helpful and consistently offer support without any attitude. However, I would like to see a change in the housing process. Currently, students must have their schedules for the next year in order to choose housing. This puts those with later advising appointments at a disadvantage, as they may miss their assigned selection time. Freshmen can then take available housing, leaving over 500 returning students on the waitlist, potentially without housing for the upcoming year.
