Sheridan is a great town if you are looking for community and a laid-back pace of life. There are plenty of community oriented events to attend without much diversity of the general population. I recommend it if you are looking for a small town!

Do not move to sheridan. They are doing everything to drive Americans out and make it a sanctuary city for illegals.

I've lived in sheridan for awhile now, and I just really want to warn anyone moving here, like I did with a false sense of how polluted sheridan is. They burn coal here in the winter, and a lot of it. If you're like me and my wife you'll be confused by how oblivious people are to it here but the air smells absolutely toxic. It's not everywhere all the time but I would say at any point 90% of the town will smell like it, some places worse than others but in general if you're outside or inside if your house isn't completely air tight in the winter you will smell it. Some School yards smell like it all winter long, a toxic cloud breathed in by all the kids every time they go outside. Some neighborhoods s reek of it all winter long. Some less than others some all the time. The epa knows about it and there's been complaints filed by others. But it's pretty much just how life in sheridan is. Don't open your windows in the winter here. Or go outside. Or inside.

It's beautiful with the Big Horn Mountains in the background to the south. Beautiful historic downtown area. Great community college, I got 2 associate's degrees there. Although not small, it has a low enough population that people greet each other on the street and there's low crime. Beautiful parks with great places to picnic under the shade. Goose Creek runs through town. There's a nice walking path throughout the area around the downtown. Friendly people and great customer service at most places.

Sheridan used to be a nice place to live, but the influx of religious crazies and conservatives is pushing it towards a very ugly place. The local real estate cabal has absolutely ruined the local housing market. Conservatives coming from CA and TX expect services they are used to, but also want to slash our tax base, which is absolute insanity. If you want a 700 sq. ft. clapboard house with no lot size for $250,000 then Sheridan is the place for you!

The people here are dreadful. Everyone gets along with subpar performance because there is lack of competition here. The food/ dining is always a joke, with never more than 2 decent places to eat. Medical care is severely lacking, to where I have to make a 4 hour round trip to get blood drawn. The school district is ran by total morons. The people in city counsel are a joke. The theory of relativity applies here in that: it doesn't matter what you know, but who you know. The area is beautiful if you can see past the people.

I have lived in Sheridan for three years. Before I leave the area I thought I would share an honest review. The town is beautiful, with gorgeous views of the Big Horn Mountains. They have wonderful parks and walkways and bike areas if that is your thing. The plus will always be the safety and the loveliness of the surroundings of Sheridan Wyoming.
The negatives are fairly simple and up front. Sheridan is a very cliquish community and they will never let you into the in crowd…not that I want to be. They are not friendly and are very biased when it comes to the arts and even music. If you are not country, forget it. Jobs are scarce and are given out if you fit in to the towns political agenda. It is a who you know type of community.

I have lived in Sheridan for 40+ years. Sheridan is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenic mountains and a rich western history that keeps the tourism here very steady. The only thing I would like to see here is more variety in the entertainment and shopping areas.

Cold in winter, smoky in summer. Boring nothing to do. More bars than restaurants. Schools never call for a snow day.

Excellent junior college, hospital, and great schools. Close to the mountains for any outdoor recreation that you can imagine: snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing. Wonderful local hockey team with hockey at all levels of play for kids. Rodeo comes to town once a year, and it's a week long party for all! There's a great YMCA. A few small breweries keep the ale flowing. Upscale dining, as well as fast food options. The Brinton Museum should not be missed. The Wyo Theater is a downtown staple for live shows. Access to good dental care and health care, with access to Billings, Montana, only 2 hours to the north. Weather is moderate with warm summers but low humidity. Medium amount of snow in the winters, although it does get below zero for a few weeks here and there. The town has a good small-town vibe with some modern touches. Housing in Sheridan can be a bit tough, but plans are afoot to remedy that. Overall, it's a great little town with lots to keep you busy!

I have lived here my entire life, and I wouldn't change that, I feel very safe in this town, although the town is 12 square miles, it has the feeling of a small town, like Ranchester. I would recommend this town to anybody. Safe place with a nice school system.

Sheridan is a nice small town, with lots to see. If you love the outdoors, you will love it here. If you also love small populations, you will love it here. It is voted the most western town in the US and it feels that way the minute you arrive.

Sheridan has the charm of a small town with the amenities of a larger town! The school system can't be beat and the amount of non-profit organizations is inspiring! It is also just beautiful, "fake green" is how describe it to my friends.

It is a small town with a lot of love and support in the community. The public schools provide a lot of opportunities to students through activities and college courses that allow them to get a head start in life. The area itself is beautiful.
